I truly love the way that looks. I like the paint AND carpet together, not just all the same thing. Mostly, I like that the wall isn't flat where the subs are, there is some angle to it. Aero ports, love, love, love this setup. Great work man. and the rear is soooooooooo clean looking, damn!

Both DD M1C amps came in this past Wednesday. Yah!.... Next order will be for:

* Mids/highs amp

* 1 - pr 6.5" coaxials

* 1 - pr 6.5" components

* 1 - pr 4" dash tweeters

* 1 - X1.1 sound processor

Below is a picture of the final hatch... Once I get my the next order delivered, I will be adding LED's in the hatch.

So, I was motivated to work. I yanked the back doors and the front door panels off the car and began cutting the stock crap up..

My plans for the back doors were simple, plain.... SOOO... what I decided to do was to wrap the back door panels in material, glass over it and then from there

I'm going to add some 1/8" padding and cover them in some sports cloth material.

Here are some pics so far of the rough stages. I used T-Shirt material..

Had to test fit ... fit perfectly!

As you see in this picture, I had to cut off some of the glassed cloth because the curvatures in the edges of the door were not perfect. It it fit in the car just fine, but I ended up cutting part of it away as you can see from the below picture and the reason why is because I am wrapping the doors in padding and cloth.

So, to make sure the fiberglass didn't come loose, i ran some matt around the edge of the door..

As you can see, the door lock and the door handles were covered over. No need for them anymore.. "Keyless Entry" works well..

Thank you so very much for your nice comments. A lot of HARD work and decisions were made to get it to where it is at now, and some GREAT friends to help with the build as well.

Yeah the aero ports, I love them also. This build is strictly a music ride only, In the beginning I wanted to do a slot port, but glad I didn't have the room in the box to do so. Reason why is I can easily remove these ports and replace them with other ports should I want or desire to play in the "ONE TONE WONDER" class.

I absolutely love it. Moving the build from the "C" pillar to the "B" pillar enabled me to be even more creative with ideas..

Here is a sneak peek of the front driver door panel.. Again, I "HATE" the factory door panels. There's not a lot of room to be creative with the stock crap.

Soooo my visions on the front door panels are this:

Build a foundation (which I have) and from there build out. I will be making a custom arm rest that will have the main window unit installed in it. Along with that, I will also be making a detachable pod that will hold 2 sets of DD 6.5" mids in each door.

How all this will be attached is from the backside of the door panel. Im going to be cutting access holes in the panel you see now to run the master window unit through.

The final door shell itself will be covered in some (undecided right now) material and the center of the door will be a diff material/color.. Haven't made my mind up on that either. Once I finish the door I will then be able to tell the direction I need to go with the material.
