*NEED HELP PLEASE** (Remote wire/amp problems)

Well I have a Cadence s2w12 connected to a Cadence Fxa2500.1D and it was working up until a couple days ago and the amp stopped turning on. Last night I put a wire from the power to the remote terminal while the regular remote wire was connected and the amp turned on but the music coming from the sub sounded horrible, is it my remote wire?

If your amp only turns on with the jumper, then yes the remote wire is bad ( pinched, unhooked from back of deck, remote lead on deck is no good, ect). As far as the sound issue, it sounds like you may have another issue also.

I would check everything.

Get a dmm and see if the remote wire is sending power out.

Check all wiring to make sure nothing is pinched, cut or shorting out on the body or anywhere else.

Check the subs coils to make sure one of them hasn't shorted out.

I just hooked my amp up again, ground, power, rca, remote to red 12v on headunit, and it didn't power up, I put a jumper and it powered. I hooked up the remote straight to the battery and it didn't power, I hooked up a different subwoofer and it made the same sound as my Cadence s2 subwoofer when playing music, wtf is wrong with my system?

Did you use same remote wire from before if so, that's probably the problem, might be a short in the wire.
