Yeah, just like that. Thanks, that answers my question. No need for me to cut it out then if i would have to brace it back like that. It would defeat the purpose of me cutting it out in the first place.

U could use tube and have it open but IMO it must be replaced structurally somehow

everyone who i have seen that took it out, re welded in framing for structural support.
