I think the port is wrong 2 inches wide I think it 15-16 inches height cant remember the depth but the box suppose to be tuned to 35hz. I seen a few of the box designed u did for other people on here and ur port design used a 4inch port. Joe X Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 The width of the port is not directly important but the area and height to width ratio, that port looks thin and overall area seems small, I was wondering if it sounds bad, have port noise? weak low end?
load350z Posted August 22, 2013 Author Report Posted August 22, 2013 The enclosure is a lil over 4cuft total without accounting the port area n speaker displacement. I had to get it built that shape so I would have space in trunk for a stroller or etc.. plus so the enclosure will slide all the back to the back seats The altima has a funny lip in the trunk. bbeljefe Posted August 22, 2013 Report Posted August 22, 2013 That port looks to be about 1.5"x15" or close to it, which makes it about 22.5 in². A 4" port is 12.56 in², so for two woofers it should be 25.12 in², according to Fosgate. But for higher power you should probably have ~50 in² of port for two woofers in 3.5 cubes.
