Need help with amp, enclosure, and wiring!

Well your electrical upgrades will really depend on the car. Some suvs can come with 140 amp alternators with newer vehicles coming out with 200 amp alternators in which case, upgrading the big 3 and the battery might be sufficient for 2,500 watts.

Then again you could get something small that only has a 70 amp alternator which is obviously nowhere near enough to supply the current draw. So alternator will really depend on what car you get. Either way upgrading the battery and big 3 charging wires is going to be a given.

As for the enclosure, that will really depend on what size mayhem you get. Speaker and port placement will also depend on vehicle as some setups perform much better in a given environment. Are you planning on a 12", 15", or 18"?

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

It'll be a smaller car, so I'll have to go all the way with electrical upgrades. I'm cool with any size mayhem, do you recommend a bigger or smaller one for sound quality or how heavy it hits?

Myth about the size and sound quality of the woofer.

But what kind of car and will it be in the trunk? If it's a hatch you could fit an 18" most likely, if it's a trunk a 15" would be ideal but possibly too big so then 12" if all else fails. I personally like using 15"s. More cone area without requiring as much volume as an 18"
