Need help with amp, enclosure, and wiring!

Hey guys! I'm new here, and relatively new too stereo systems completely. I found two subs for a good price, and I plan to put them in my car. They're Rockford Fosgate T1D415s. They each have a 1000 watt rms and 2000 watt peak, so the system will have 2000 rms and 4000 peak watts. My question is, should I get a 2000 watt amp that will run just the rms, or a higher power? Also, should I get 2 ohm subs or 4, and how should I have them wired? I want the loudest, hardest hitting, clean bass i can get out of these subs. Also, what enclosure would help me get those results? Thanks !

How much are the subs?

And you would never want to pay attention to peak, rms is the number that really matters. So if you do get the T1s you would want to get a 2,000 watt amp. Be careful of voicecoil configurations as these will decide what amp you get for proper power output at the correct ohm load

I asume you haven´t bought the sub´s now, can you tell us what they will cost?

Think we can find you something in the same pricerange for louder.

I have a prefab ported box. its for 1 12" but they sell other kinds. I got it off EBay.

But everyone says to build your own. Its up to you.

And my sub is 2ohms on atleast 1400-1200watts rms.

Id go with 2 ohms. And get a CEA-2006 certified amp. like MB Quart, Cresendo, Hifonics, Etc.
So it actually puts out the watts it says it does. My first purchase was a crappy pyle 6000 watt 2ch amp.

Did no where near what it said it did. And it got really really hot.

I love my Hifonics. its a beast.

That's still kind of expensive actually...you can get good 1,000 rms subs for much less than that but it is up to you.

If you're getting two subs that are D4 you would wire to 1 ohm nominal so you'd want an amp to do 2,000 watts at 1 ohm.

AA Chaos, SSA Gcon, SA, and FI SSD are just a few of the options available for all subs that will eat 1,000 watts no problem that are well under $400 each.

Any recommendations on a good quality brand for cheaper? I'm not stuck on the Fosgates, I just know they're a higher quality brand, and for both of them a total of 800, didn't seem too bad
