toolshed Posted September 23, 2013 Report Posted September 23, 2013 painting the inside of the box seems like a great idea to me. We always seal them up with fiberglass resin. After i heard a story of a contractor using a huge vacuum to put on the under side of the mdf sub floor and sealed a hardwood floor down that was on top of the subfloor, I figured that the boxes need to be sealed that way. that was an eye opener

Wow that's a huge difference for just painting. I had no idea, I just learned something. Yea me! I'm gonna try it on my next box. I know .5db might not happen for me but hell it's worth a try.
