as title says im tryin to fit a dc lvl 5 18 in the trunk of my 01 honda civic em2 coupe as for space the trunk is nice sized the question is what would be the best way to go about doing this.

option 1 build the box in 2 halves put first half in the put sub in hold above box while i put other part in an complete the box an rest sub on box to dry.

option 2 build the whole box but the top baffle an 1 side baffle put box in trunk install sub in top baffle then install top an side baffle.

option 3 open for suggestions

Sorry I just don't see it working out right. A couple good 12's in the right box would be louder.

While I know our body style Civics have a nice size trunk I do not forsee an 18 really getting in there and doing work. I would look at a pair of 12's or 15's. Even if you can get an enclosure in there you won't have any room for batts, amps or anything else.

I just want to say,two 15's in that trunk is a PITA especially if you got some heavy ass nightshades or something. A single 18 may sound loud even at low volumes, but more cone area & SPL can be achieved with two 12's instead of one 18.

i will agree with you there where i do believe that 2 15s would be better in this car an also was something i considered but i got the dc for extremely cheap if i could find another lvl 5 motor id consider re conning to 15s but for now 18 is what im goin with if it can be done not only would it be loud sound bad ass its also a wow factor
