soundstream15
so i replaced my stock alternator with a mechman 170amp, im running a crunch GP3000d pro, with my stock alternator i was holding 11.8v now that i replaced it im holding 12.2 and for 320$ just for that little few volts it wasnt worth it, but was having some belt slipping since belt was a little to big, my alt has a smaller pulley so did that today. to me, i thought i would see a difference but did not. i am not sure if my amp is just that power hungry or what, i have the big 3, more like big 5. running all 1/0awg wiring, dual inputs in amp. yellow top under hood and kitneik hc2400 in the back.i want to say its my amp being power hungry and yes all wiring is correct and ground n shit. Jessica
That seems weird. do you have any other amps? Sure you aren't clipping to hell and back? is your 1/0 ofc or CCA? 1 run or more? I have my stock 65a and two g34 deka's and two sk1500's and a 85.4 and drop to 12.6 or 12.4 full tilt. Not trying to brag, just a comparison. Doesn't mean much cause of box rise and stuff but just thought i would throw that out there Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside.
