I have still yet to fix my whine. I tried moving my rcas the furthest possible from my power cables. They dont run side by side at all, all my power cables are in my trunk. But i ordered some ground loop cancellors. Ill try those, the whine is only coming out of my front speakers because those are the only speakers that are connected to an amp. the rear speakers are off the headunit. I was considering moving the speakers back to my headunit to knock out the whine/buzz.

And im going to be getting another battery soon, it was what sams club recommended when they looked up my car, it was $100 for the replacement battery. And i was wondering should i get another one? And then how would i go about hooking it up? should i get an isolator? And would i just wire a new wire off the battery now into the new battery?

Because ive noticed some good dimming with my system recently, idk if its my PCM/ECM going out, or the system is pulling too much power. But i really dont blast it all the time. Ill have it halfway and it still dims at times. And my volt meter doesnt drop below 12.

An extra battery won't fix whine. Are your post clean and connected well?

- Can you post pics of where your amp is grounded to?

- is the whine new or has it always been there?

- is your big 3 done, including grounding your alt case to the chassis?

Its a Dual XHDR6435
And no big 3 hasnt been done yet. Going to cost a lot.
And the wires were cleaned up and tightened in the speaker amp better.
I have 2 speakers in my trunk and 2 front door speakers hooked up to the amp its a Dual 400 watt 2ch.

(Shit i know) But it was cheap. :)

Once i changed the fron door speakers to the amp i noticed the whine. Never noticed it before that.

ill try and take pictures soon, but i work a lot. 9 to 6-7pm. Might have to wait til this weekend to take pics.

I know the second battery wont do a thing for the whine, but i wanted to try and get more power.

Better rca's might help, but i run scoshe wal mart rca's and don't have any noise. Of course, that doesnt mean that will be true for everyone. Try this test first. Run a new power and ground wire from your battery to your headunit. Just use some 14ga. Wire right to the battery, and just run the wires wherever is easiest and hook them to the headunit.

Make sure you unhook from the factory power and ground, and keep the headunit from touching any metal and start the car. See if the noise is still there. If that gets rid of the noise then, you know what to do next. If not then you need to look at other places where noise could be getting into the system, like rca's or a bad amp ground.

edit:

spelling and typos. :(

Hmm. that sounds crazy. it would be kind of hard to get to. my battery is in the trunk. but ill give it a go.

I was considering these?

Since i have 2 amps right now.
it goes from my Head Unit to the main subwoofer amp, then through the output on that amp into the speaker amp.
Maybe if i just do both channels on my headunit it will help.
And ill try and see if cleaning up my wiring from the battery helps.

- A few feet of good wire for your big 3 will be well worth it.

- A second battery is like making your cars fuel tank bigger, it will hold more gas and allow you to drive farther between fill ups, but it won't make your car any faster. A better alternator will hold voltage better under load, it w ill give you more power just like an engine upgrade will make you go faster. Hope that analogy helps, but it may not, who knows.

- are your amps grounded to the same place?

Edit spelling.
