Cox Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 What do I do with these leads. Do I splice them or do they just untuck from under there. I was scared to pull on it lol Kenwood Excelon x396AQ2200Fi Q 12XS D3400 XS XP30001/0 RADAFLEXStinger volt meter Mechman 240a alt

raolito1980 Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Looks like you ripped the piece where you supposed to solder them to. if you take the black shrink off then you may see where its soldered together. But those leads are to go in just as is. 2012 GMC SIerra CC System Build Headunit--Stock Sub Amp--DC 2.0k Subs--2-SA8v2's Enclosure--Need one made!! raolito1980 Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Yes the old one. On my Fi I unsoldered where its connected to the basket terminals. I had to remove all the solder in order to push through the new leads. Like putting string through a needle. 2012 GMC SIerra CC System Build Headunit--Stock Sub Amp--DC 2.0k Subs--2-SA8v2's Enclosure--Need one made!! ChevyBoy95 Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 you just solder to the bend in the loop. On the push terminal where there is the little hole, clip it on one side, bend it open a bit, slide the loops on, bend it back, hit it with a good amount of solder and done. raolito1980 Posted September 5, 2013 Report Posted September 5, 2013 Remove the black heat shrink from old leads. Then unsolder the wire leads from the metal pins its connected to. Screw back on metal pieces to basket terminals. Solder on new leads to the terminals that you screwed back on. and this after you glued your recone back in place on the basket. Make sure leads are lined up with the terminals. 2012 GMC SIerra CC System Build Headunit--Stock Sub Amp--DC 2.0k Subs--2-SA8v2's Enclosure--Need one made!!
