TheMonolith2001 Posted September 11, 2013 Report Posted September 11, 2013 Most people recommend between 2hz and 5hz below your box tuning in my research. I'm guessing the closer you are to the max RMS your sub can take the closer to tuning you will want to set the subsonic filter to.

It's tough to give specific numbers for a SSF because unless you have a cc-1 or something, you can't set it accurately. Plus a lot of boxes aren't tuned to exactly 35. It's like +/- 3-4hz. And every install is different. So there's that to consider too Turn up your subsonic filter a bit higher than you think you'll need to. Play a sweep full tilt. If the sub is moving too much when the sweep drops down, turn it up. Those things are huge man. It will probably have to be something for my house. I've always wanted to try launching some ping pong balls with it or something. I just tried to look that up on youtube to see if anyone else had done it and found this haha
