95neon_thumper82 Posted September 14, 2013 Report Share Posted September 14, 2013 specs on the box: high side: tuned to 50hz .85 cubed of net volume. 2 3 inch ports low side: tuned to 25 hz. 3 cubes net with a single six inch port. the subs will be mtx thunder pros. 2 12s ran isobaric (push/pull) 250w rms with 4 ohm impedance with single vc. this build I'm going for something a little more appealing to the eye. I plan on selling it with less than 2 hours being put on the woofers. I plan to run it with term lab once get my numbers and sell it... so I'm going to be taking my sweet time and making sure everything is done right with this box. it may take a week or two to complete. I still have to get the .75 inch plexi for the window I want so you can see the isobaric action. here is a couple of pictures of the "planning" stages. keep in my I had originally planned on 6 inch ports all through it but home depot didn't have that much 6 inch pipe available. you can see how I plan to run my ports. I want that throaty sound which is why I wanted to port it in this manner. hopefully ill achieve that. see the rough dimensions. its going to be slightly smaller after comping for the two smaller ports but all in all its still pretty close so I went to home depot and got all my supplies. I got these boards laid out in the garage all measured and ready to cut. I should have gone with fours. but the ports will be MASSIVELY shorter. but that alone made the box that much more space friendly lol. so I won't complain too much... especially if I can keep the port noise down.
