What kind of power do I really need?

The basics of my system my current plan. I have a 1993 Chevy C1500 4.3L. Installing 3 RF Prime Series Amps, two R250X1's and a R250X4. Total system Draw of 110 amps. Doing a big 3 with 1/0awg and a single run of 1/0awg to a fused block. 4awg short runs to the 3 amps. I have a 1.5F Cap that I'm going to use just because I have it. I am worried about pulling to much power and killing alternators and batteries. I know I ran a "1000 watt" system with this cap and stright 4awg on a 01 S10 and never had any issues, but I'm not sure what kind of draw that system had (back when I was a kid and didn't know anything). This is not going to be anykind of earth shaking system and not a full blown SQ. Just good clean sounding loud music to and from work. I'm seriously looking into a High output Alternator/ dual alternator or second battery. Right now the electrical is stock. Any insights would be appreciated especially anything on the cheap or DIY.

And I haven't installed anything yet so I have no idea what my voltage drop looks like. Just want to prevent killing parts and being stranded.

Your total power draw really is not that much. You should have no worries with a stock alternator and won't kill any batteries.

I suggest not using the cap as it really is too small to do any good and is just another junction in the line to add to loss.

Your first upgrade should be an improved battery under the hood to replace the factory. I suggest XS Power or any good AGM style.

If you still want more, adding a small second battery in the back will do nicely too. Unless you add more power, there isnt much of a need to go beyond that but adding a small alternator can be the next step.
