New here. Great site, lots of knowledge in here I can see. Im lookong for some ideas from minds better than my own. I want to try my hand at building a custom box for my subs, but i dont know what I want. Ive got 3 5th gen. Alpine type R's 10d2's wired on series/parallel on a hifonics brx2400d.1. Right now they are in a horrible small sealed common airspace box, but this box hits lows pretty well and i want to still hit lows with a new box, i just dont know if i should go sealed and chambered, or chambered and individually ported, or just baffled and straight ported. Its going in a 94 chevy half ton with the back seat removed so ive got some room to work with. I dont even know what shape i should go with. Any ideas gentlemen?

What are the external dimensions of your sealed box? Firing up?, front? ..etc, Also what's the complaint with current setup?

Sounds like you have plenty of room to work with since the back seats are gone. Give these guys some more details about what you want out of it. SQ or SPL, Rock, hip-hop, country... And max dimensions would help a lot too.

Did you get that scar tissue when you got your vagina installed?

Its 36 inches long, front facing subs, tapered from top to bottom, not sure on the specs of the taper. My current complaint is the box is just way to small. My old 2 ten box is only like 2 inches shorter and way deeper. I just feel as though im not performing to its ability because of the box. Ive recently heard 2 kicker 12's in a similar truck that crushed my 3 brand new type R's. That doesnt seem right and that box is a part of the problem for sure.

Im interested in spl, when im beating its always rap. Rittz, tech n9ine, BLH. So i just want good lows and mids, i know the type R's can do that, just need to upgrade around them.
