rdb3000 Posted September 29, 2013 Author Report Posted September 29, 2013 I can build one I was preferring premade because of the fact I don't have a place to build at home. anything built would have to be done at a buddys house. I have roughly 2 cubic feet to work with because of space for amp and some other things I keep behind driver side seat. And I just looked into the specs on jl audios website and ur correct they don't have the recommended size for ported boxes yet for the w1v3s I also looked into the power handling and my 500w amp should be plenty for 1 12. I have a sealed box now that comes out to like .5 cubic feet roughly. makes me wonder if entire different sub and box setup is needed to get the output I was looking for
Krakin Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 Try looking around in the member build section for some regular cabs, don't look at dodge cabs because they have an ungodly amount of space for single cabs. I think you might be looking at a new sub at the least. A nice 10" or a couple of 8's will sound amazing in a proper enclosure. I have about 500w give or take a bit going to my 10 and I am loud enough to where there is almost no point for a rear view mirror. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . rdb3000 Posted September 29, 2013 Author Report Posted September 29, 2013 My first attempt will be to try a bigger box. Then if tht doesn't satisfy me I'll be sub shopping. just hate for a pretty new sub to go unused. And I am looking around for regular cabs right now thanks!
Krakin Posted September 29, 2013 Report Posted September 29, 2013 No problem man.
