If you want to get a sticker on the back window, and pay for the upgrade, I will wall it off...but as of now, no monies = no upgrade.

Honestly im not pissed at all, it's the first time i've ever blown an amp, so it was kinda cool, IMO. It just sucks it happens when I dont have money to buy another amp. I was really thinking about walling off my blazer, but now I am leaning more towards the LS1 swap I have been pondering.

well, I was told that I just fried some mosfets, and they wouldn't be expensive to buy new ones, my question is how hard is it to replace old mosfets? I have limited knowledge of this inner working of an amp, and was wondering if this is something I might have a chance of pulling off by myself

Well. If you're any good at soldering I say give it a try! What's the worst that could happen, you fry an already fried amp? Just make sure to get the right kind of mosfets & take your time. BTW you're gonna want to replace ALL the mosfets at the same time (you might be okay without doin the output stage but will have to test it afterwards).

In fact, here's step by step instructions on how to repair a Planet audio VX2200 which is the EXACT same board as an A3000:

Even tells you what kind of transistors to get!
