Bg09 Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 This has been a challenging undertaking, I've smoked a factory deck, pushed a soldering iron through my thumb, went over on my data plan researching and learned that trying to make chicken salad out of chicken $**t will always turn out like, well u get it.. I will be adding to this as I have time, I have many questions and problems I'd like to solve and hope to sit in my car soon and be satisfied with the sound and feel of three months arcing most every wire I have.. Lol.. It isn't that bad, but here's my set u and where id like to be in a few weeks.. Pioneer Dehx6500bt Kicker ZX300.1 Jbl GT5-15 in a sealed enclosure 4 pioneer coaxial 6.5" walmart specials.. I want to see a drawing with all dimensions on how to build a 3.5 cubic ft ported enclosure. I want to understand the hpf and lpf settings on the deck and if I need something else to get everything tuned to where I'm not worried about blowing the sub.. I need to get a 4 channel amp for 6.5s, or components and crossovers? I have all the specs on the sub and trunk if someone would help calculate the box out that'd be great, just looking for ideas, and maybe someone has a similar set up... Any help would be appreciated..

jarrius Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Agree with cableguy what car and I could be wrong but 3.5 cubic feet for a 15 might be a little small but I don't know not a master box builder lol. Also what is your budget and wht have you already bought? There is many better brands you can get for cheap if you know where to look and ask 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
Bg09 Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 Thanks bro, I have an 02 Saturn sl sedan. I've accumulated the list over a few months, bought it and traded some too.. Yeh definitely had to choose wisely on Craigslist and find good deals. I don't wanna spend a whole lot more right now, just like to get all this stuff going good and add as I can, I'm cool with a better set of coaxials or components, couple hundred bucks but I have the amp and sub going right now in a sealed box, that jbl I'm sure isn't gonna win any competition but it does pretty good despite that box. I absolutely love it for the $40 I got it for, it hits crazy good at certain tones but lacks on the really lows I'm hoping the ported box gives me..

Bg09 Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 Max depth (front to back)-30" Max height (top to bottom)-16.25 Max width (side to side)-34" Thats the trunk measurements, that's all of my trunk, lol. I'll need at least the max depth of the box to be 20" or so, my back seat angles, I have my amp mounted to my box now.. The 16-1/4 "height leaves me with 1/4" to play with, so I'm hoping the box will measure around 18x16x34.
