Tahoe2004 Posted October 13, 2013 Author Report Posted October 13, 2013 I've been thinking of them but i dont really know which battery will fit me better. I will be using this kinetik as a temporary use Maybe until i finish paying my car which is by february But cold weather is coming here in fort worth tx :/
fecupe2001 Posted October 14, 2013 Report Posted October 14, 2013 definitely recommend something bigger, BUT, there was a competitor at the 139.9 class around here that had a single HC800 on front , big3 and a cap on the back on the stock alt , electrical was actually holding nicely his hifonics 1600.1 wired at 1 ohm, guess it should be safe on your application, hope that helps I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains. jarrius Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Something ales you may want to look at is since your car is a 95 from what i read it says 90amps but may be putting out less due to age and wair and tair 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
Tahoe2004 Posted October 15, 2013 Author Report Posted October 15, 2013 Thats why the alternator is my concern Im planning to upgrade alts. As soon as i finish paying my car but i dnt really know what would be my right amp output since im putting 2 amps in the car One amp for the mids&highs and the brz1700 an epicenter stereo anyways .. All together makes a total of 160+25=185 amps plus the adding the car amp needs :/
jarrius Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 I would also add a second battery in the back. Something ales you need to remember that brz pulls a lot of power to make its power for the subs. So let's say your running 2k off a 90amp old alt. I would not personally do that seeing that's a lot of power for it. You may be able to get away with 1-2 batteries extra in the back like I already stated but I don't know. 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
