SUSS01
I'm basically starting from scratch with my system and it looks like this forum can help shed some light. Right now I've got 2 JL 12w6s in a custom box under the back seat of my quad cab, running off an audison sr1dk. Sounds alright, but the box is WAY too small for the subs and I never could get the response I was looking for from the subs. I figure if I'm going to look into a blowthrough, I might as well get some subs that'll give the me SPL I'm craving. The X-12s look like an amazing dealing beater sub. So now the question is: Would I notice a difference with the Z series? Two or three subs? How much power? How big of a box/port into the truck? Any info would help. Thanks guys. g2shuck
You will notice a huge difference between a w6 and a sundown x. As far as how many they more the better in a blow through as long as you can give them proper space. For the box since it is a fourth order I would do a 4th order. Make sure you think about proper electrical to supply the amp for the subs also as here lately that seems to keep getting forgot. I have more money in my electrical than I do my subs and amps as do most others here that have a properly built system. SUSS01
Ha. I'm considering 15s, but the dude I'm having make the box recommended 12s for the blowthrough, which is why I'm thinking about three of them. How crazy is the difference between the x's and z's?
