Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! soundsystemaniac Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 Well, we finally got everything in the truck. 3 of the new batteries are in the truck, The NS-1 is in and wired, The subs are mounted in the box and the box has been installed in the truck and joined to the back section of the box that goes under the back seats. (this box gives us an extra 2.4 cubes IIRC.) We turned everything on around 11pm on thursday night and got to take a listen to it. Kyle didnt really turn it up because he is always really nice to his setups on the first couple days. We wanted to make sure everything is in check and proper. Everything worked out fine. Even though the subs were only moving about 1 inch, its already louder than the sa setup that we had previously. (and moves lots more air). I had to work friday morning, and he worked friday night, so i have not heard it since then. He gave a demo to my brother though and turned it up a bit more, and he is thrilled with the results already! He says he hung a shirt in the window, and it was wrinkling the shirt up a few inches! He also said he had his sister come out to have a listen, but she wouldnt get closer than 3 ft from it, he said it was still blowing her hair around. The reason he is being so careful is because 1 of the subs has a fresh recone and is still stiff as hell, and with the power then NS-1 can make, we dont wanna screw anything up. We are taking it to the Crescendo show tomorrow and I am stoked for it! I still have to make panels to trim it out this evening because the box just has bare sides for now. I cant wait to hear it this evening, and get the loose ends all set for the show tomorrow!
