john253a Posted October 22, 2013 Report Posted October 22, 2013 what 12" do you have in 6cuft thats one hell of a big ass box unless there rocking 30mm of xmas
veneno Posted October 23, 2013 Author Report Posted October 23, 2013 M.A. audio hard kore series 1500 rms, just read a review were guy said they had best results in 2.2 per chamber. Some one else told me about the same thing. So im going smaller, i do plan on upgrading though. I gues ill jst have to start over then. If i build a 4.5 box what diameter port should i use? Is the 7.75 too big? I cant really find specs other then enclosure specs. So i dont knw xmax.

veneno Posted October 24, 2013 Author Report Posted October 24, 2013 Its actually 6.3 internally, 3.25 for each one. 48sq/in x 14.5, is what someone said the specs were. All i could find by m.a. was 3cu.ft. i was told to find a sub w/ close or same specs an go off of that. The hard part is that im buildin it in my trunk so i cant jst take it out an change it up. I do plan on makin the port adjustable. Thats also why i was thinkin goin smaller. Has any one heard of cheating the enclosure
Eroc3k Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Thats also why i was thinkin goin smaller. Has any one heard of cheating the enclosure Could you add a few more sheets to the back wall on the inside of your enclosure? That would tighten up the space and stiffen a wall in the process. just a thought.
veneno Posted October 24, 2013 Author Report Posted October 24, 2013 Yeah, i still havent started install, but everythings cut. Was thinkin of double baffle and plenty if support. If went smaller,my main concern was port diameter size. Just bought a heat gun and have different size pipes 4",6",7.75". Almosttpicked up a 13" pipe today. Plan on flaring them.
