herbykw
Thanks guys. Can't wait to get this hooked up. It will be a huge pain to get in. Sub will have to be in the baffle when it goes in the trunk, then held in place to mount to the rest the box. Hope it will be worth it Nice build. Love the Solo X's for sure. If you ever need to re-build that sub, and can't get a drop-in recone for it, hit me up and I can help you out for sure. I seen your 15" Solo X build. Looks sick. I might hit you up to for that if it comes down to it. Are we goin to stick to it until Autorama? We will see. I have only competed once. It was at lake county with the Monte Carlo with the two 15" XLs on the VFL500.1. We will see how it turns out and how it sounds 06 300C 5.7 Hemi K&N CAI JVC KW-AVX640 6.1" DVD DC Audio 3.5k 6 DC Audio 8"s 6 cubes 8" aero port at 32hrtz http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183798-chrysler-300c-8-build/?p=2731834#entry2731834

OrzechNJ
nice enclosure, but wouldnt it be better to move enclosure forward to avoid rear deck rattle ? edit: prob fitment issues.. sometimes Loud is NOT pretty Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over. herbykw
I bass raced a 139.9 with the XLs. Yes. These trunks are odd shapes. I would have moved it forward all the way. By the rear deck had the speakers and some weird box sticking down of the bottom. Giving sub forward this was the furthest forward I could go, and biggest design I coul come up with. 06 300C 5.7 Hemi K&N CAI JVC KW-AVX640 6.1" DVD DC Audio 3.5k 6 DC Audio 8"s 6 cubes 8" aero port at 32hrtz http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183798-chrysler-300c-8-build/?p=2731834#entry2731834
herbykw
Well had a few issues. Some changes had to be made. With the box havin to be trimmed down, i lost air space. when I went to test fit the ports didn't clear. Had to re arange the ports. went to put the top piece on, and cause of the box being chopped down it was hitting the sub. Had to get creative on that one. It is all in. Pics are uploading. 06 300C 5.7 Hemi K&N CAI JVC KW-AVX640 6.1" DVD DC Audio 3.5k 6 DC Audio 8"s 6 cubes 8" aero port at 32hrtz http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183798-chrysler-300c-8-build/?p=2731834#entry2731834

herbykw
We tested it briefly, it's 1am here. Sounds like crap and has very little out put. I checked the wires, deck settings. Looks good. I could smell the coil after a few seconds. I will check my amp settings again tomorrow. Nothing was changed. Either my amp settings weere change or maybe my RCAs were damaged. There is very very little air being moved. I will hunt down the problems tomorrow. 06 300C 5.7 Hemi K&N CAI JVC KW-AVX640 6.1" DVD DC Audio 3.5k 6 DC Audio 8"s 6 cubes 8" aero port at 32hrtz http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183798-chrysler-300c-8-build/?p=2731834#entry2731834

herbykw
The box I got the sub with was sealed, I ported it with a 6" aero and it sounded bad too. Thought it was the box. The coils read right on 2phm each. 06 300C 5.7 Hemi K&N CAI JVC KW-AVX640 6.1" DVD DC Audio 3.5k 6 DC Audio 8"s 6 cubes 8" aero port at 32hrtz http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183798-chrysler-300c-8-build/?p=2731834#entry2731834
