crossover question

i have a clarion mcd 360 crossover. I was wondering i could connect the sub out on the crossover to the high pass rear channel input on the same crossover to create a subsonic filtering effect.

i was hoping to set the highpass at 35hz which in theory would attenuate all the frequencies below that. The reason am asking this is because i have a mono block that doesn have any ssf and causes my subs to reach its max excursion with rediculously low frequencies.

I already have the crossover but just dont wanna blow up anything by interconnecting signals in the same crossover . Has anyone tried this before?

I was under the impression that reproducing "rediculously low frequencies" was the job of a sub driver setup ...

Sounds to me like you have a problem with your setup that needs to be fixed instead of cancelling out frequencies ...
