bcbrassard
I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES 2.0L engine and having a tough time finding a HO alt. Googled companies and one had a 85 amp idle and 170 amp @ 1700 rpm for $250 + shipping. Mechman doesnt have a direct replacement. DC power has a 240 amp for $525, which they are out of stock so the only other onbe is a 300 amp for like $650. Ouch! no other options so far. I even have another alt that could be rebuilt if any companies to that. Anyone have any other ideas i have missed or companies. I live in Alaska so trying to keep it around $500 or less. After adding a T400-2 I will be running 1000 watts mids & highs, and around 1100 watts on sub. Big 3 done, Optima blue top under hood, Kenetic HC1800 for sub & Kenetic HC 600 for mids ands Highs. Stock alt is 90 amps and lights dim some. Need more power! lol Thanks for the help

hdorre
No problem. I went with him, and have NO regrets whatsoever. His customer service alone sold me. truthsayer
Although Mechman doesn't have a direct replacement, i'm sure they will do a custom job for you. Or just go with the 170 amp you found. With the power you are running and extra batts, you should be ok. truthsayer
bcbrassard
That's my last choice if I can't find something bigger at a good price. Thank you
