mmets
2007 Trailblazer LT, 4.2L Mechman 250A coming tomorrow! I know on the site and to help prevent slip they recommend a 1/2 to 1 inch shorter belt. Problem is I don't know if I need one for my vehicle or not. Do I just stay with the 91.5 I have or go down to 91 or 90.5? Never replaced an alternator before so just was wondering. Don't want to run to the store, get a shorter belt and not use it or have to get both 1/2 and 1 shorter belts and have to return one (I'm lazy lol), and I tried to call but forgot they were out for SEMA. Thanks. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/177477-slowboring-07-trailblazer-build/Pioneer DEH-80PRSPRV 8MR400-NDY (eight) PRV TW350Ti (6)Sky High 1/0 OFC, 12 gauge and 8 gaugeTM Metalworkz battery terminals 120 sqft HushmatXS Power D3100 (6)Singer 350 Amp Alt Singer 320 (2)American Bass SQL3200 JL Audio JX360/4 Crossfire XS 8K (2) DC Audio XL 15s (6)
tacomaguy1
the pulley is smaller, so a shorter belt makes sense to make up for that. Helps with belt slip Team Flex Issues
mmets
Yeah I'm just trying to figure out if I need a half inch shorter or the full inch. It will all work in the end just don't want to waste too much time that's all. wife, kids, work and started three more online classes take up too much of time lol http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/177477-slowboring-07-trailblazer-build/Pioneer DEH-80PRSPRV 8MR400-NDY (eight) PRV TW350Ti (6)Sky High 1/0 OFC, 12 gauge and 8 gaugeTM Metalworkz battery terminals 120 sqft HushmatXS Power D3100 (6)Singer 350 Amp Alt Singer 320 (2)American Bass SQL3200 JL Audio JX360/4 Crossfire XS 8K (2) DC Audio XL 15s (6)
tacomaguy1
lucky for me there's a lot of auto parts stores here....stopped on the way home from work and bought 2. Tried them, and returned the other on the way home from work the next day Team Flex Issues
mmets
True. I guess I could do the same. I have stores around me but hate going out when I don't need to. No big deal though. How do you know when you have the right belt? http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/177477-slowboring-07-trailblazer-build/Pioneer DEH-80PRSPRV 8MR400-NDY (eight) PRV TW350Ti (6)Sky High 1/0 OFC, 12 gauge and 8 gaugeTM Metalworkz battery terminals 120 sqft HushmatXS Power D3100 (6)Singer 350 Amp Alt Singer 320 (2)American Bass SQL3200 JL Audio JX360/4 Crossfire XS 8K (2) DC Audio XL 15s (6)
tacomaguy1
Check the tension on what a stock should feel like Close to that or a little tighterr is good Team Flex Issues
