But a RF T10001 bd will walk all over that 2000 watt Hifonics. What REALLY makes a bassracer is the song. It is the song that is more important then the equipment. The wrong song will make a 149.9 car seem like a 119.9 car. Meaning: if your car peaks at 53Hz and you are trying to bass race with a song that peaks at 38, you are going to lose. Also I see a lot of beginners using a song with a beat that varies to much. Quote If you build it, db's will come... I hear a lot of people saying these subs won't take this amp. An i would agree most of the time. But look at it like this, if you put NOS on your car, will it take a shot every time you hit the gas.... no. I don't care what anyone says you can put a 5000 watt amp on a 150 watt rms sub and it last for years... IF YOU PLAY IT RIGHT. If you are like a friend my mine that has everything maxed out, its not going to take it. Quote If you build it, db's will come... With 500wRms ROCKFORD RMS on it. And it is freekin loud to the ear just that. I am able to use arround 5000 NOK. That is arround 1000$ But the prices on audio equipment in the states is so different from the prices here in norway. But that is the budget ive set. The max dimensions i have without removing the rear seat it: 33" Wide 18" High 24" Deep. That is below the windowline. So i am on limited space. But i can bet i can at LEAST fit: 4 10" 3 12" 2 15 Now you have budget: 1000$ The car: VW Golf MK2 1986 GTD Electical: Stock 90A Alternator. 0/1 Gauge run from positive to the back. 0/1 Gauge run for the negative as well. Big 3 soon to be installed Hopefully a Optima red Top up front. I hope you have all the information you guys need! And i am REALLY greatfull for your help guys! Thanks alot. Four 10s equal around ..... 314 square inches Three 12s 340 square inches Two 15s 353 square inches Now, I say around XXX square inches because this is going to change slightly based upon the subs surround. Go with two 15s, they have more cone area. If you want to do this on the cheap. Go with a RF T10001bd from High Desert Audio on ebay for 250. Make sure you buy DUAL 4 OHM subs so you can run it at one ohm. Or you could get a Sundown 1500 for around 350 to 400 and get DUAL 2 OHM sub so you can run it down to .5 ohms. The sundown with whatever subs at .5 ohms will be louder.
