(Generated by PCPartPicker 2013-11-10 20:51 EST-0500) My goal for this is to be a tad bit future proof with plenty of room to upgrade as time goes on. I'd like to go Crossfire on the 7970s if the PSU allows, but we'll get to that bridge when it comes. I'm looking forward to being able to run BF4 without a hitch, thus utilizing the multi-threading capability of the 8-core CPU. It'll definitely be a slow build like most purchases in my life as I only have one source of income but I can't wait for the final product. Items are subject to change. Pictures to come when the case arrives Monday. Edit: Updated video card to one with better reviews, also XFX is a great vendor. I like the oldschool one.. Krakin
Only concern I have is the price of that GPU. Most 7970's are selling for an average of $350. Might look into reviews of the PowerColor cooler. I haven't, but just an odd price imo. And I don't think that the CPU has multi-threading capabilities, just has 8 cores and 8 threads. I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . Seems like you're right about the PowerColor brand. I had honestly never heard of them and failed to do my research on them in particular. There was a $30 promo going on for it so that's what caught my eye. Haha. I'll look into MSI, ASUS, etc and update the list. I like the oldschool one.. Krakin
You can look at r9 280x's as well, they are the re-branded 7970 selling for $300-310 just hope you can get one while they are in stock. 7970's are still perfectly fine possibly better at this moment.
