Well when building a system I see people using sound processors, crossover, multiple batteries, alternator, and the list goes on, can anyone tell me what do those do for someones build and are doing those things standard or depending how big a build is? and if so depending on how big a build when would all those mods be required? Thank you

Batteries and alternator - it's part of electrical. Takes power to make power and if you have a big amp, you need an equally large power supply to feed it.

Crossovers are so your tweeters don't play bass and vice-versa

Sound processors, see above. Also have EQing and time alignment to make things sound better

All very helpful stuff. also the battery and alternator requirements will rise with the amount of "real power" you are drawing. It is possible to have a healthy system on stock electrical (minus big three maybe) Its all about what you expect and being realistic. There are ways to do this on the cheap( relatively speaking) or you can go to the moon and back. That's kinda what makes car audio so great.

So you can kinda group alternators and batteries together as one subject matter.

Build's consist of:

2004 Chevy Impala :

Pioneer--------------------- DEH-X8600bs Soundqubed/AQ------ Q4-120

Rockford Fosgate---- Punch-500.4

Soundqubed/AQ----- Q1-3500D.1 Alpine----------------- 6.5's & 6x9's

Subs: TBA All Knukonceptz and SHCA wire and rca's

Home Music Setup

(4) Soundqubed HDS200 15's in two separate 15.5 cubic foot enclosures tuned to 31 hrz --- XM radio hardwire

Updates coming all the time on both builds
