i have a massive N4 pushing 4 cvr dual 2 subs at 1 ohm and i am having a problem with the amp going into protect mode at 48 on my head unit i have the gain set properly for the subs at that volume and it worked perfect the first night i played it but the next morning the amp started to go into protect mode when i played it at that volume while driving but as soon as i turned it down two notches on the head unit it played fine again but if i was sitting at a stop sign or at home in park it would not go into protect mode at all it only did it while the vehicle was moving and now it goes into protect mode if im driving and turn it up to even 42 but still plays fine while sitting still i am using a pioneer head unit with a belva 0 guage amp kit and also i have done the big 3 upgrade please help me resolve this issue!!!!

Also if you are having problems when driving might be bad electrical grounds etc.

Can you post some pics of you amp install and ground locations...or where did you gorund to? Did you use a bolt? screw etc?

Voltage would be more of a problem when idling though...at least my thoughts.

i set the gains with a multimeter and a test tone. the amp does not get hot. the subs are at 1.3 ohms at the amp. i will post pictures of amp install in a moment

Sounds like ground problem then... I would dial the gain back some until you can Oscope or use a dd1 and know for sure...see if it helps.
