xan326 Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 There are cheaper, and I've heard better, alternatives to dyna. Forgot the names of all of them, one I think was SecondSkin.

Cheap but good or cheap and sucks? affordable but works. i did around my door speakers last week to be satisfied for the winter. make sure you clean the surface really good before you stick it. i installed it in 40 degree temps outside. just save up like 80 bucks and get you some good stuff that you know will stick for a long time. 03 s-10 owned since 35k now 150k alpine type-s 6.5 comp alpine type-e 10 ported fiberglass jl 300/4 (dead) jl500/1 (dead)
Pioneerchuck Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 Check out some AudioTechnix sound deadener or some Crescendo sound deadener. Also your trunk lid has some "pockets" in it where you can spray some GoodStuff foam. And most trunks do not much if any wiggle room in the latch.

I've heard Crescendo's deadener is good, don't you also get a little sample square if you buy speakers from them?
GueroZ28 Posted November 13, 2013 Author Report Posted November 13, 2013 Thanks everyone will try it out
hammiethebasshead Posted November 13, 2013 Report Posted November 13, 2013 nvx sound mat from sonic electronix. works great and it is $70 bucks for a 20 sq ft trunk kit once you get a speaker moving so hard that its possible to make tinsels slap, you are already kissing "SQ" goodbye. Don't get me wrong, as I smoke Marlboro Reds, but if I saw one more kid with that smug-ass look (Look at me I'm smoking indoors) on their face, I was going to shove that thing so far up someone's ass that they'd look like a hillbilly trying to understand quantitative prediction theorem. You know why people are ass holes online but not in person? Because getting punched in the mouth hurts.
