Noob question about mids, tweets and amplifier

So if I want to run two front 6.5 and tweets in the front off a 2 channel amp will I be splitting the RMS rating on the amp per channel between the 6.5 and the tweet? Is it better to run a 4 channel so each speaker and each tweet gets its own channel?

Thanks

If you are using the passive crossovers that came with the components then they do not split the power, they only cross the mid and tweeters over. If u aren't using any crossover after the amp (running active, each speaker off its own channel then yes whatever power the amp puts out power wise on that channel then the is the power ur speakers will c

I do not have the mids and tweets yet or the amp. That is why I am asking.

The speakers come with cross overs for the tweets which I assume I will run. They speakers are rated at 150 RMS each and the amp is rated at 125 at 12.8 (CT sounds 125.2) I was wondering if it would sound better with a four channel or two. Maybe 4 channel is over kill for what I want.

It doesn't matter if u use a 2 or 4 channel. As long as you have at least 2 channels to power the components if u run them passive. A 4 channel may be cheaper and then u can bridge it?
