Amp output issues

Turn off all loudness features, and sub level to the max postion to get the most voltage from HU. Make sure you have set crossover freq correct. No way you should hace amp gain all the way up. If your head unit is 4v pre out, your looking at the gain being around 1/4 turned up or the 9;30 position. If HU is 2v preout, amps gain around the 12o'clock position. If your still not getting desired bass from subs, on the HU you may have to adjust the bass setting.

Yeah, i know i'm not suppose to have the gain that high but I left it there after i was finish fooling with it. I was only playing it for about 2 minutes or so.

Like the 1st pic. Although right now instead of connecting the 2 subs into each other they are connected to each other at the amp if this matters at all.

my Kenwood had to have the sub level at +15 in order to get full clean voltage at volume 33 when hooked up to my oscope. it's not a boost for kenwoods

That's what i'm beginning to think. I had just a cheap pioneer in my other truck with no problems.

put your old radio in just to see if it changes but more likely its the hu.I have a pioneer set every thing to 0 and the amp turn 1/4 way up it my subs slams.
