SnowDrifter
Been running into issues with Sketchup ever since I moved over to windows 8.1. It runs slow - as if it were on a computer with vastly inadequate hardware. While I don't have the best of computers (mine is aging) it should be enough to run this Lenovo thinkpad W700 Intel QX9300 @ 3.2ghz 8 gb of ram A 250gb 7200rpm OS drive (to which sketchup is installed) 500gb 7200rpm data drive (containing the file I'm opening) Nvidia quadro fx 2700m What I've tried: Reboot Re-install latest drivers from nvidia Re-install sketchup Revert to the original CPU clock/voltage of 2.5ghz Not sure what else to do ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Cameronmyers74
I was googling your problem and I found this so I would make sure you have OpenGL hardware acceleration, and if not that could be your problem! "Have you checked that you got proper drivers for your graphic card on Win8.On my Netbook, which under Windows7 have OpenGL hardware acceleration, I found that the default drivers under Windows8 did not provide this. The manufacturer, Packard Bell, has not issued updated drivers yet. This is why I get annoyed by laptop manufacturers because they always make you use their own custom drivers - instead of using plain vanilla drivers. And they are always slow to update - or quickly stop updating them." heres the link btw: http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=48692
