Setting up big computer build + home theatre

I just picked one on the list so the part picker would stop being annoying. I will be running Ultimate. Also, I don't pay for software lol. Fuck microsoft and their taxing asses.

So I already ordered and have received my CPU's heat sink and my Blu Ray and CD drives. I am waiting for my tax return to finally get the fuck here to grab the PSU. Along with that, 6 weeks ago I had a deduction in one of my checks for $200.67, waiting for the refund to buy the Mobo. Right now I went ahead and bought the case so that should be coming in around next week. My plan is to buy atleast one thing a week until i have my monitors, cpu, and graphics cards left. Those all will cost more than what I can sacrifice from a single check so I will have to save up. Along with that the GFX cards will be the last thing to be purchased because of outrageous prices on them.

For some reason the things above where you type that has all the options to edit, add and change things in your post is not showing for me so I cannot properly put these images on.

Just went and picked up the i7 4770K at micro center for $280. I received my hard drives last week, as well as getting a ssd drive bay adapter today. Next week is the memory, and I'm still waiting on my tax money and my work refund to get the mobo and psu. I'm going to buy one graphics card first so it can run and I can start getting everything ready. Get the 2nd card a little bit after the first. Then saving up to get all the monitors at once. Hoping to have it running within a few weeks.

Buy the graphics card last. Use on-board graphics until then. As April and May approach Nvidia is expected to announce and release their new Maxwell 800-series cards which should drive down the price of their 700-series cards and AMD's current cards. Depending on when you're able to buy the last parts for this build you may be able to grab a current-gen card for cheaper or get a next-gen card for the same price as ones you're looking at now.

wtf is lolcats?

I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers.

I was hoping for 150 :(.

I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

Good advice that I will take, thanks for it. Here are some pics of everything as it is now.

Edit: I also have changed up what RAM I will be using. I am going with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148659&clickid=wbLS6EU8fRSG0Yi00iyP3yz8UkTTZVVpQXK6Vs0&iradid=97618&ircid=2106&irpid=79301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na it has better times than what I was getting with a lower voltage for $5 more. Along with that, I really am contimplating investing another 300 into the PSU and mobo to make them a little bit better to support a 3way SLI in the future.

The stuff I would be looking at is http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131974&clickid=wbLS6EU8fRSG0Yi00iyP3yz8UkTTZl3FQXK6Vs0&iradid=97618&ircid=2106&irpid=79301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na for the mobo and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817116022&clickid=wbLS6EU8fRSG0Yi00iyP3yz8UkTTZlR9QXK6Vs0&iradid=97618&ircid=2106&irpid=79301&nm_mc=AFC-IR&cm_mmc=AFC-IR-_-na-_-na-_-na for the PSU, which would match the case so that's cool.

Here the CPU cooler I am starting off with. WAY bigger than the stock one that comes with the processor. Once I get into overclocking I will invest in a water system more than likely.

Well it turns out I am only getting $15 from taxes so PSU is now on the unpaid for list and will add another week or so onto build time.

Whats with the 1200w psu and 60hz monitors?

MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..."

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.
