Bass4Lyfe
So in less than a month here I'll be starting (finally) on the audio system for my new car ... I'm not that great with car audio to begin with and stuff so maybe somebody can help me figure out if this is all going to work Headunit - Alpine IVA-D105 Speakers - 2 x 6.5 inch components in orginal door locations RF T162S 2 x tweeters (one inch??) in stock tweeter locations near side mirrors (anyone know if these'll fit in a 98 camry w/ upgraded JBL audio system?) again, comes w/ RF T162S 2 x 6x9 speakers on rear factory locations in rear deck RF T1693C Subwoofer - 10 inch JL Audio powered off of ... ? (sealed enclosure) That's the basis for the system .. I want a balanced SQL system that's not real flashy but goes loud and sounds good doing it. With that H/U I don't think I'll need a M/H amp what do you think? Thanks for all feedback and realize I'm very new to everything EDIT: What's a good SQ Subwoofer? ChevyBoy
if you dont have a m/h amp, dont think of running components. it wont be worth the money spent on the comps to not run a m/h amp.

Bass4Lyfe
Scratch that i'll just get a 4 channel instead of a 2 channel and power all four? what about the 2 tweets? thanks Quote ~Matthew 1998 Toyota Camry XLE V6 3L (1) ScyTek Astra 4000RS-2W-1 2-Way Remote Start Alarm with Shock and Proximity (1) 20% Tint All Around (Gately Audio) (1) 250 Amperage HO Alternator (1) Big 3 Done In 1/0 (2) Kinetik HC2400 Power Cell (1) Alpine IVA-D106 Receiver (1) Peripheral Video Bypass Device (4) Alpine SPS-17C2 Speakers (1) Alpine KCE-422i iPod Control Interface (4) Sheets Dynamat Extreme; for speakers (1) 10 Square Feet Hushmat (Trunk & Rear Deck) (4) DC Audio Level 4 15" D2 Subwoofer w/ Level 5 Coils (1) Wall Built By David, Tuned to 32 Hz (1) Rockford Fosgate T40001bd Amplifier (1) Stinger 1/0 Wiring (2 runs of + 2 runs of -) (1) Stinger Volt Meter
benz280se
Scratch that i'll just get a 4 channel instead of a 2 channel and power all four? what about the 2 tweets? thanks the tweets can be run off the same four channel amp if youve got the crossovers for the door speakers. or unless you just want to spend crazy money buying seperate amp for mid and highs. dont run the tweets off the headunit and power the mids with an amp the difference in output will drive you nuts, trust me. Bass4Lyfe
I'm confused as to what you're telling me. Are you saying buy a four channel amp and power the 2 6x9 speakers and 2 mid range woofers off of it, WITHOUT powering the 2 tweets off that? so the 2 tweets will just be run off the head unit?
