sbg Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 So today I go out to go to work, start to dive and turn my system on. And my system cuts out for like one sec then turns back on. So I get like 4 miles away then it does it again. when I get to work i play the system and go back and take a look at the amp and sub. I see the amp go into protect for a spit sec then turn back on. I check wires and all look good. After work I start my car and the amp does it one time, then after that I drove home played the system like I do everyday and it didn't do it again. I get home and let the system play for a few mins and it does it again. So I take a look at the main fuse and looks ok. Now I have pulled the sub and amp out to see if something is bad. O and setup is a 10" dvc4 T1 wired at 2 ohm on a audio pipe 1500.1. Also I don't know why but when it's cold like today the fan on the amp will stay on all the time? I got 1.7 ohm when sub is wired in parallel and then did each coil. 3.3 on one and 3.2 on the other. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
