Codyn422 Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 I have 2 12" Memphis MOJO's 1,000rms each, I already have a box design idea that I'm still drawing up... I'm thinking about getting a Lanzar Opti 2600-d Amp which is 2,600 rms at .5ohm's.... I was wondering what you all think about this amp, and if it would be a good match for my subs... Remember I'm kinda low budget on this build sooooooo yeah.....Of course I will be running zero gauge power + ground wiring and an additional battery in the back... Big 3 upgrade coming later... Let me know what you think of this amp!! Lanzar Opti2600-D.... Or if you know of a different one that can fully power my subs. Thanks
Novak Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 I personally don't have any experience with the lanzar opti drive series....but however ive seen a lot first hand do work just recently I was at a comp and a guy in a 93 jeep had the lanzar opti 7k on 2 dc 15 xl (not quite shure might have been lv 3) but he hit a 157.4 at 37 hz im not saying get it, but im not saying don't get it..... my .02 is try to find a nice used amp that's a better quality 98 honda civic hx build in process have need sundown x-12 d4 more sound deadening sundown saz1500d v2 alternator (mechman) sky high 1/0 w/ big 3 false walls and fiberglassing amp rack (half done) and box processor kicker zx 200.4 (mids/highs) infinity reference components trunk lid rear deck and rear quarter panels deadened kinetic hc1400 under the hood (picking up 2 more late Jan early feb) check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1wF0CV2NaX4 November 9th, 2013 metered 140.3 at Midwest audio &detailing sealed on dash w/ termlab (w/ old alpine amp, new amp yet to be metered)

Aj11 Posted December 11, 2013 Report Posted December 11, 2013 i would never buy lanzar! my boy had lanzar "3000w" amp on 2 mtx 7500 12s And it was embarrassing! it was just crap. i sold him my old 2400w Rockford amp the one that has like a spine look to it and that thing stomped. lanzar is a junk brand like xplod. funny thing is the kid sold that lanzar to some kid for $200 even tho you could buy it brand new for $95.95 jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

Aj11 Posted December 14, 2013 Report Posted December 14, 2013 it's odd that a company would only make %10 of it's stuff good and the rest over rated garbage. 2 things I've learned over the years from buying amps. 1. dont buy from a company that advertises the peak power! 2. size of the power and ground terminal. " i got a 3000w amp!" yea but it has 6g imputs! another thing thatI've noticed and i know this doesn't apply to all, but allot of the amps that have built in fuses seem to suck. my boys alpine mrp 1000w wow what a waste of $400 same thing with the 24000w mrp junk just junk jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
