skaraudio Posted December 20, 2013 Report Posted December 20, 2013 (edited) After much demand we have finally gotten around to putting the Skar Audio SK-2500.1D on our test bench and the Dyno Results are in... We used (4) Shuriken 16V Batteries for testing and this was a non-charging load. The purpose of using the 16V batteries is so that after the heavy draw from the amplifier during the testing, we get real power ratings at that 14.4v~ load as you will see in this video. The SK-2500.1D proved to stand up to its ratings and then some =) For more information on the SK-2500.1D, please visit Skar Audio - Where Audiophiles Meet Excellence Amplifier : Skar Audio SK-2500.1D Dyno : SMD AD-1 Amp Dyno Results Certified @ 1 Ohm : 2,793 Watts @ 14.35v Certified @ 0.5 Ohm : 3,393 Watts @ 13.61v Un-certified @ 1 Ohm : 2,836 Watts @ 14.3v Dynamic @ 1 Ohm : 2,953 Watts @ 14.72v Dynamic @ 0.5 Ohm : 4,289 Watts @ 14.51v More testing videos coming soon! Brent Anderson Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 like the numbers but for people who don't have 16V systems I don't think they will ever see numbers like that. ill be running a 12V battery bank some time and my alt im waiting on that I pay for is a DC alternator 14.4V at 320amps.... how the hell will I ever see a 14.51 or 14.72 even 14.35 will be supersizing to me with 12V batterys holding the load well the alt puts out. but the 13.61 I can see being done. but my question is why not just use 12V battery as well just to give an idea with a charger as well.
Brent Anderson Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 would not mind seeing its lowest scores with a 12V battery bank and get the idea were I be looking at from my highest to my lowest drops.
