Swordlordboy1234 Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 I'd also caution the .5 ohm thing sir. Just a thought if you haven't already purchased the subs. Wiring to 1ohm would be a lot safer... If you wanna get the power of a 4500 at .5 why not just get a 6k or 7k at 1ohm. Ddescape15 Posted December 22, 2013 Author Report Posted December 22, 2013 Well I already have them at my house lol I had them bought for about 2 months I bought them both from ebay for 800$.
Swordlordboy1234 Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 You have more options then that sir. But your .5 ohm daily option will work its just not recommend end for people that don't understand the risks and knowledge needed wiring under ohm loads that are recommended. Another option would be 2 Skar 2500's strapped at 2ohm (1 ohm at each amp) assuming you wanted to stay with the Skar. Personally it's not my first choice but it's not the worst thing you can buy. Another option would be a monster amp at 2ohms, like a DC9k, ct 7k or other amps and run that huge amp at 2ohms. It will run cooler. And be more efficient then your 4500 at .5 just because how electrical works. Ddescape15 Posted December 23, 2013 Author Report Posted December 23, 2013 Well mostly I bought the skar because I got it for 750$ and the dd9500s for 800$. I'm trying to do a budget build on the areas I can. Not going to budget my electrical, but everything else I'm trying to find the deals
Ddescape15 Posted December 23, 2013 Author Report Posted December 23, 2013 I would have bought the dd m4a for sale in classifieds but I just couldn't spend 1000$.
Swordlordboy1234 Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 Well you can always keep your gain extra low, keep really strong voltage and save up a couple hundred for recones or trade subs. I learned my lesson about budget things.... I won't mention company names but I'd just buy it once and be done until I upgrade power Good Luck with build My old YouTube channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/SwordLords1234?feature=mhee My old build log : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161872-96-accord-b2-sundown-sky-high-dc-power-re-re-build-for-heatwave/page-37 My New Build - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/207041-2016-mazda-6-sql-build/ 2016 Mazda 6 Touring JL Fix 86 - OEM signal correction B2 prototype DSP 6to8 B2 Ref63 - 3 way active set 2 B2 Class H quattro's 1 B2 Zero.5R @.5 2 B2 HNv3 12 d2 B2 SLIP40 - Lithium in the trunk Northstar Group 35 under the hood 100ft 2/0 welding cable 30ft 4ga welding cable 20ft 8ga welding cable All stinger OFC speaker wire Soundrive custom RCA's Tons of attention to detail....
