Ddescape15 Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 Just a quick question I just purchased a skar audio 4500.1D it will be running 2 dd9515s in a ford escape, but I was wondering how many batteries I would need to run this amp? My current electrical system consists of.. 275 singer alt Big 3 with 0/2 welding cable And biggest battery a could fit in my escape at 750cca.
Swordlordboy1234 Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 I'd say get your biggest XS power up front and get 2 xp3000's or 2 d2700 or 2 d3100's for the rear. Ddescape15 Posted December 22, 2013 Author Report Posted December 22, 2013 Thanks all wasn't expecting that fast of a reply.
Swordlordboy1234 Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 No worries man. I honestly think if you use OFC wire, sky high and knu make good stuff. Have good connections. Get those 2 batteries in the rear and the biggest front all Xs power... And your listed electrical should be fine for that amp. Kyblack76 Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 What impedance will you be running? SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
Ddescape15 Posted December 22, 2013 Author Report Posted December 22, 2013 Well they are dual 2 so .5 ohm
BigGains Posted December 22, 2013 Report Posted December 22, 2013 Be careful running it at .5 it definitely can do it though, and I agree id run 2 d3100s in the back and id have a d3400 up front, id also upgrade to ofc instead of the cca.... and a damn good choice in an amp by the way :-) 2003 silverado TEAM DC Pioneer Avh 5500 4 DC lvl 5 18s 12 crescendo pwx 6.5s 4 crescendo ft1 tweets 6xs d3400s Singer 400 alt Skyhigh ofc wires Skyhigh speaker wires Smd vm1 2 DC 175.4 DC 10k
Ddescape15 Posted December 22, 2013 Author Report Posted December 22, 2013 Yes I'm deffiently going to get ofc over cca. I want to have a good sturdy electrical system to back the amp as best as possible so I don't cause damage to the amp.
Ddescape15 Posted December 22, 2013 Author Report Posted December 22, 2013 Thanks I first was going to run my Rockford t1500.2 on them but then I said screw it and pulled the trigger on the skar
