Stephen Maharaj Posted December 23, 2013 Author Report Posted December 23, 2013 sounds like a plan. just have not had the time to find a good shop to meter it. really thinking about getting some higher power subs but keeping it (4) 10's space is not that much of a problem as there enough left over in the trunk. it's a everyday vehicle so i still have to be able to get my spare tyre out. as for SPL, before I actually meter it I was looking to have an idea of an average number.
jk13 Posted December 23, 2013 Report Posted December 23, 2013 There is no "average" number. That's why guys spend weeks/months/years on trial and error. Same gear, same car, different box/tuning/sound deadening/seat position/sun visor position/dash speaker removal/ash tray position, etc. can make big differences in your final number. If you want someone to throw numbers out there here's a wild-ass guess looking at those boxes: Expect low 140s. Be very happy with 145 or so. Be absolutely thrilled with anything approaching 150. Go back and shake your installer's hand if it hits that 155 and don't change a thing. Dumb luck got you a huge number. Static drops are my bag.
Stephen Maharaj Posted December 23, 2013 Author Report Posted December 23, 2013 lol..that would be something if the meter malfunctions and reads 155..lmfao. as I said just the time to get it done has been hard to find. another thing I was thinking about was getting a DIY meter. Do you know of any good ones?
Stephen Maharaj Posted December 23, 2013 Author Report Posted December 23, 2013 another thing, does anyone know how much power this MMATS 3000.1 is really throwing out?
