Flatsfisher8 Posted January 10, 2014 Author Report Posted January 10, 2014 Sa 10s only call for 1-1.5 ft^3 per
bbeljefe Posted January 10, 2014 Report Posted January 10, 2014 Transmission line enclosures work without respect to volume. They are essentially one long port with the equivalent area to the driver's piston and they're tuned (like a conventional port) by length. A 30Hz t-line for a 6" sub will be exactly the same length as a 30Hz t-line for eight 18s. The line (port) area will be significantly larger for the latter but the length will be identical. Generally, a line is tuned to the Fs of the driver being placed in it and your SA-10s have an Fs of ~36Hz so a line for them would only have to be 7.8' long. For one, that should be about 2.8 cubes gross. Just add ~2.5 cubes per sub you add for a rough size estimate only. Flatsfisher8 Posted January 11, 2014 Author Report Posted January 11, 2014 I kinda want to try my first 4th order just to do it.
Dude2800 Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 You really should try and find a way to set your gains properly. Find a friend with an oscope or dd1. I got a dd1 off amazon for $150.
Dude2800 Posted January 11, 2014 Report Posted January 11, 2014 You can have your gains turned all the way down and still be sending a clipped signal from the head unit.
