I have 2 mono amps and one amp keeps on blowing its fuses. The other one works perfectly fine. And they share a 300amp fuse at their wires.
it didnt pop. Amp might be blown?

Does it blow the fuse immediately or after playing for a while?

If immediate disconnect speaker wires and RCAs and see if it will power up.

If after playing for a while switch the subs from amp to amp and see if it's a load problem.

Static drops are my bag.

is there frayed wire strands poking out from the power or ground or remote or speaker terminals on the amp?

if no

are you sure?

Posted

there is no wire strands touching the ground and power wire and the remote wire is clean. is it possible the power supply shorted out?

If there is nothing but power, ground, and remote hooked up and it's blowing fuses it's broken.

Are the amps grounded properly? What size power and ground wires are you using? Is the 300amp fuse overkill? What kind of amps are they? The fuse in the one amp is basically experiencing excessive current flow. Have you looked in the owners manual to make sure you are using the right size fuzes. Is the amp screwed down to anything metal or wet? 90% sure you have a bad amp but you might as well try everything. Try switching the two amps around and see if the other one will blow on the "blowing" wiring (hopefully that makes sense). If it does, then there is a short in the wiring somewhere. If it doesn't short, then it is the amp.
