i had a similar issue i installed my deck into the same exact explorer model and few hours later i tried to start the car and it sputtered 2 times back to back but was fine after that.. no problems with a drained battery though..

Alright, He took it to a shop (His father works at a dealer shop and just drove it to work to test it out to see whats wrong)

I told him to measure voltage coming out of deck, and battery also see if there is a fuse blown or not. (I did check fuses and battery but told them to check again if I accidentally missed something)

Instead, the 'Found' the problem. Supposedly the negative battery terminal wasn't tight enough. They brought it home after they 'fixed' the problem. And went out to start it up a few hours or so later and was dead again.

I don't understand why people just assume things and don't check what should be checked when having electrical problems. I clearly told them to check voltages coming out of the deck.

They're putting the stock back in to see if it causes any problems. Hopefully THIS time they listen to me to switch the Ignition and memory wire around. He did say the deck settings where not saving after turning vehicle off (Obvious memory issue)
