Why don't you sell your old equipment and fund your new stuff even more and then you will have a wider range of options

Thats a great question... well, it's because the old stuff is going into the wifes car which has a stock radio in it right now. Otherwise I'd be all over selling it to fund the new stuff.

I will check out the Audiopipe lineup as well. Once again guys thanks for the advice.

Audiopipe= audiopoop i would stick with the soundqubed amps wile running 2 sundown 12's or even 10's. Just because the sub is smaller does not mean it cant be just as loud.

Did you buy or build the box? I have a really good feeling that box may be to small for 2 12's

It's a purchased box. http://www.audioenha...ific/nct250.php

Each sub has 1.3ft^3 of space and is sealed. I looked on the Sundown site and it says recommended sealed size is 1.0ft^3 so they should be good. Yes I understand it's not an ideal setup, but it's what I have and looks good in the car.

So without going into a vs debate here, I did some searching and found nothing but good things said about Soundqubed, while Audiopipe had some fail threads. Obviously, Im not looking to do hair tricks and I typically dont turn my stereo up past 3/4 volume (as my mid's start distorting badly, which is another area that needs a little attention later on) so it's safe to say Im not very hard on my stuff. My little 250/1 has held up just fine for 2 years now playing everything from Motley Crue to Young Jeezy, Beat Dominator to Skrillex, even Heart and The Who get air time in my car.

Now I did notice that the Sundown SAE1000D and the Soundqubed 1200 are about the same price. Which one has the better build quality? Like I said, Im not doing this for most dbs. I want something that I can rely on for years without worry. Im pretty set on the Sundown E series subs, so now it's just a matter of picking the best amp thats "affordable" to me (around the $260 range is about my limit)

Also, I cant say it enough, you guys are probably some of the most polite forum members I have seen in a long time. i asked about car audio upgrades and how much bass the rear hatch glass could take on thridgen.org which a forum specific for 1982-1992 Camaros and Firebirds and got a response of "Any subwoofers are too much for these cars! They are classic american muscle and dont deserve to have huge speakers and rap garbage blasted out of them like a riced out civic."

As far as sundown or soundqubed you could do a full sundown build which is nice if you like to have all matching gear, and both amps are really nice.
