CeeDa Blaize Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 Hello all. I have two DC audio 10's @ 900w RMS each, and was wondering could I use my old MMats D1600.1 @ 1150 rms to power them? I used to power two Memphis mojo 12's with this amp, and remember the coils would always be burnt out. I'm not sure if its due to bad install, insufficient power from the amp, or too much power from the amp. I just took this amp out of storage from 6 yearss ago, and hooked it up to my boy who has two L7, and let's just say he was in love With MMats. But will this amp be good enough because someone told me the amp should provide 75% of the sub's total RMS POWER, AND 1150W aint it. I don't want burnt coils again, and that is why I left the audio hobby six years ago. Someone please help!
OrzechNJ Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 set ur gains properly and you wont do any dmg for sure.. welcome to SMD sometimes Loud is NOT pretty Sounds like its safe to go ahead and bend that ass over.
Keith77 Posted January 27, 2014 Report Posted January 27, 2014 Sounds like it shold be ok Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.
CeeDa Blaize Posted January 27, 2014 Author Report Posted January 27, 2014 Great! So That means I dont have to spend extra money on a new amp, because I thought I would have to get something with at least 1800 rms.
