mrd6 Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Putting a battery in the back won't do anything unless he's dipping to battery voltage. Which I highly doubt he will This should be bumped since it got ignored and is completely accurate My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
bassaholicsfl Posted January 28, 2014 Author Report Posted January 28, 2014 Only problem with that is the alt is externally regulated and the wire straight from the alt goes right to the fuse box. I could be wrong about the size it pushes 90 amps at 1800 rpm so. But ill try it that way and Ill see if it works. I did it like that just because it was the stock alt. 2001 Dodge Ram Quad Cab.
bbeljefe Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Right, but you can install a wire that goes straight from the alternator to the battery and then on to the amp(s), which is part of the big three.
