307Metaller Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 Hello SMDers! I am looking at purchasing a fishing rig in the immediate future and am already planning out my stereo options. I have a system in mind but would love some input from a group of people with FAR more experience than me. I am looking at dropping no more than $1800 on the stereo. I am looking at a Ford Bronco which will need the following: - HU - 6.5 Components in the doors - 5.25 in the mid panel - 10 or 12 in the rear in a custom box - Either a 5 channel amp like the PDX-V9 or comparable or a 4 channel and a Mono. Not quite sure yet Any advice/input would be greatly appreciated

307Metaller Posted January 28, 2014 Author Report Posted January 28, 2014 Really appreciate the responses so far. Love seeing all the available gear. I have always gone to Crutchfield for my gear, but there seems to be a ton out there not pushed by Crutchfield.

Nick580 Posted January 28, 2014 Report Posted January 28, 2014 ^^ On that Sundown note check out dB-r. They have some good refurbished deals sometimes http://www.db-r.com/sell/store/ . Also Soundqubed is similar to Digital Designs (not the same) and they are a great "Best bang for the buck" type company. There products are well engineered, reliable, and are presented at a great price point. Also, as im sure you know you should always keep a budget for electrical (batteries, wire, ect...) I only say this because it has caught me in the past
