I didn't mean to make it seem like IF I get the extra batteries that I will THEN start charging my batts in addition to alt charge. I do that as of now. Charge up frequently and regularly.. every couple days I'll top them off. Thinking about just going with one more D3100, and if shit hits the fan... or voltage hits the floor.. I'll buy another. Time to get these Zv4's MOVING.

I know the smaller batt under the hood is a different size.. so maybe that just answered my question for me. But... the REAL reason why I want to stick with the D3100's is because I want to do copper buss bars for the connections... and it can't work out laying a top two same size batteries and one gargantuan one. haha. I was thinking buss bars because of the amount of runs I'll have.. and I like the look.
